Our sound knowledge of vegetable tanning has made it possible for us to branch out into technical and medical domains such as leather for orthopaedic shoes and orthotic-prosthetic devices.

Leather that has been produced by vegetable tanning possesses inherent qualities:

• It is non-allergenic,

• It allows feet to breath,

• It is perfectly suited to moulding

In the domain of leather for orthopaedic devices, we specialize in two distinct areas: orthopaedic shoes (foot braces) and orthotic-prosthetic devices – chiropody

ORTHOPAEDIC SHOES:

• Shoulders for backs / hard toe-puffs (1.2 mm to 3 mm thick), firmness to be specified

• Shoulders for supports (2 / 2.5mm 2.5/3 mm thick), firm to provide good support

• Shoulders for whole length socks (1.2 mm to 3.5 mm thick)

• Welt shoulders (2.5 mm to 3.5 mm thick)

ORTHOTIC-PROSTHETIC DEVICES:

• Leather for moulding, strap leather, muff leather. 1.5 mm to 3.5 mm thick shoulders, 4 mm to 6 mm thick butts, different possibilities for fatting.

• Leather for orthopaedic soles. Shoulders and splits for orthopaedic foundations, 1.2 mm to 2 mm thick, glazed or pig grained.
